Banaba Extract contains extract from Banaba leaves (Lagerstroemia speciosa), a deciduous tree native to Southeast Asia. The extract is in a 4:1 ratio, meaning 500 mg in one capsule corresponds to approximately 2 g of dried leaf. It is standardized to 1% corosolic acid – a triterpenoid compound naturally present in Banaba leaves. Neither dried leaves nor ordinary powder can guarantee a specific amount of corosolic acid, as the content naturally varies from batch to batch. The standardized extract in capsule form eliminates this uncertainty: you receive a guaranteed 5 mg, and additionally avoid the significantly bitter taste of Banaba leaves.

Connection to Glucose Metabolism
