It is very uncomfortable, but who said that what is good must necessarily be comfortable? It holds you tightly from all sides, so you cannot possibly end up in a poor lower-back position when working with a very large volume of exercises—benching/rows, deadlifts, leg curls, etc. If you want something that truly protects you properly and you are willing to go beyond comfort, then this is the perfect choice, as it is better than any basic belt.
