Beef Protein is an enzymatically hydrolyzed beef protein made from the patented HydroBeef™ ingredient, with up to 93% protein. One 30 g scoop provides up to 28 g of protein, no more than 0.5 g of fat and no more than 0.5 g of carbohydrates. It contains no milk, lactose, soy or gluten. Each batch is also tested in independent accredited laboratories.
Beef Protein contains the patented hydrolyzed beef protein HydroBeef™, a popular alternative to milk-based proteins. It is the only protein ingredient in the formula, allowing the powder to contain up to 93% protein.
One 30 g scoop provides your body with up to 28 g of protein, which supports the growth and maintenance of muscle mass. It contains no more than 0.5 g of fat and 0.5 g of carbohydrates, so protein accounts for 94% of its energy value. It contains no lactose or milk protein, making it suitable for anyone avoiding dairy ingredients.
The ingredient was developed by the Danish company Essentia Protein Solutions, and its trademark is licensed by AMPC. It is therefore not an anonymous beef powder, but an ingredient with its own specification and an identifiable manufacturer. It comes from sources in the European Union and holds Halal certification. This confirms that the ingredient and its production comply with Islamic dietary rules, including the prescribed method of animal slaughter and separation from prohibited ingredients throughout processing. Compliance is monitored by an independent certification authority.

A meta-analysis of seven randomized controlled trials compared beef protein with whey protein in people who were also training. It found no difference between the two sources in muscle gain or fat loss.1 Compared with a group that consumed no protein supplement, beef protein increased muscle mass and lower-body strength.1
Whey contains more leucine, the amino acid that most strongly stimulates muscle protein synthesis. It therefore acts faster in the first few hours after training. After several weeks, however, the difference disappears because total daily protein intake matters more than the speed of absorption of a single serving.1
Beef Protein offers four things that whey protein cannot.
- No milk and no lactose. It is not a milk protein, so it contains no lactose, even in trace amounts. Whey protein concentrate contains 4 to 8 g per 100 g.
- Higher protein content. Up to 93%, compared with 85 to 90% for whey protein isolate and 70 to 80% for concentrate.
- Less fat and sugar. No more than 1.7 g of fat and 0.5 g of sugar per 100 g, while concentrate typically contains 5 to 8 g of each.
- Halal certification. Uncommon for milk proteins.
Gentle enzymatic hydrolysis, not acid hydrolysis
Protein can be broken down into shorter peptides in two ways, and the difference between them is significant.
Acid hydrolysis is cheaper and faster. It uses a strong acid at a high temperature, but some amino acids are destroyed in the process. For example, tryptophan is almost completely broken down.
HydroBeef™ undergoes enzymatic hydrolysis. Enzymes break down protein chains in a targeted way at a moderate temperature, preserving the amino acids. This can be verified in the analysis: tryptophan is present in the amino acid profile, which would not be the case after acid hydrolysis.
This gentle process has a practical benefit, too. The hydrolysate is water-soluble, so you can simply shake it in a shaker to make a creamy, lump-free drink. The conclusion is simple: if you avoid milk, beef protein is a full-fledged alternative, not a compromise.

Every batch is tested by independent laboratories accredited to DIN EN ISO/IEC 17025, the international standard for the competence of testing laboratories. Tests cover heavy metal content (lead, cadmium and mercury) using the ICP-MS method, as well as microbiological purity. Full test reports are available in the Laboratory Tests section directly on the product page.
Free from all major allergens
Beef Protein contains none of the 14 major allergens. It is free from milk, soy and gluten—exceptional for such a concentrated source of protein.
One scoop contains approximately 115 kcal, almost all of which come from protein. This makes it suitable for a weight-loss diet without taking up a large portion of your daily calorie allowance.

Who is Beef Protein suitable for?
1. You avoid milk proteins.
Whether because of lactose or for another reason, Beef Protein contains neither milk nor lactose, so you can include it in your diet even when whey is not an option.
2. You do strength training.
In an eight-week study, beef protein combined with strength training increased lean body mass and reduced fat mass compared with a group that did not receive protein.2
3. You eat less, perhaps because you use GLP-1 products.
One scoop provides up to 28 g of protein in approximately 115 kcal, helping you maintain your protein intake even with smaller portions. It is therefore also suitable for a regimen that includes GLP-1 products.
4. You want to know what you are buying.
A patented ingredient from an identifiable manufacturer, documented EU origin of the beef, Halal certification, and laboratory reports for every batch.
5. You care about your bones, not just your muscles.
Protein contributes to the maintenance of normal bones.

Flavor: chocolateBought it. Tried it. The taste is chocolate—specific, but you can’t say it’s absolutely undrinkable, as some of the comments below claim. But of course, that’s a matter of personal preference. It foams a lot and doesn’t dissolve completely. Was this review helpful to you?Анна

Flavor: vanillaYes, it’s good enough, but it doesn’t absolutely matter—the vanilla tastes artificial, but it’s still acceptable; the price is quite reasonable. Was this review helpful to you?Krisz

Flavor: chocolateFor this price, beef protein is by far the best value on the market. It dissolves perfectly and easily. A real treat for those who are lactose- or gluten-sensitive.Was this review helpful to you?Γιώργος

Flavor: vanillaIt appears to be of quite good quality. The negatives are that: 1. It produces a lot of foam. 2. It does not dissolve completely (many clumps remain). 3. It is available only in chocolate & vanilla. I want the option “no flavor” (and without the corresponding sweeteners). Was this review helpful to you?Sia

Flavor: chocolate, vanillaI really like the protein. I feel good after drinking it. Unlike many other proteins, with this one I don’t feel any heaviness. It’s a pity, though, that it isn’t always available. Once I had to order from a different website because there was no stock here at all. And the last time I had to order chocolate because there wasn’t any vanilla. Was this review helpful to you?Hady

It dissolves perfectly, and it tastes so good—not too sweet. I have tried many beef proteins in Hungary, and this is my favorite. Was this review helpful to you?Сергій

Flavor: chocolateAt first, I was very disappointed with my purchase of this protein due to its poor solubility and increased foaming, but over time I developed a kind of “life hack” — under no circumstances should you add all the water or milk at once. Because of the increased foaming, the foam fills the entire 700 ml shaker. As a result, it’s impossible to dissolve the protein properly and quickly; you need to wait until the foam settles and then shake again — and even then it’s not guaranteed that there won’t be lumps, even after repeating this procedure ten times. For it to dissolve perfectly from the first attempt, you only need to add a little water first, 80–100 ml, and then simply add the rest, according to your taste and preference. I think this information should be included in the product description, so people don’t develop a negative opinion of this product. Was this review helpful to you?
FAQ
GymBeam Beef Protein is a powdered supplement featuring the patented hydrolysate HydroBeef™, which delivers up to 93% protein content. It is derived from a bovine source and serves as an excellent alternative to classic milk proteins. This formula is designed to support the growth and maintenance of muscle mass while being low in fat and free from lactose.
While both are derived from bovine sources, GymBeam Beef Protein is distinct from typical collagen supplements. This product is a complete protein source made from HydroBeef™ hydrolysate, providing a full spectrum of amino acids, including 4 grams of Leucine per 100g, to support muscle mass. Collagen generally has a different amino acid profile, higher in glycine and proline, and is often used for different nutritional purposes.
GymBeam Beef Protein is made from HydroBeef™, a hydrolyzed beef protein. The hydrolysis process breaks down protein into smaller peptides, which can result in a characteristic taste and aroma distinct from milk-based proteins. The formula also includes cocoa powder and flavourings to create its final chocolate taste profile.
To ensure GymBeam Beef Protein mixes smoothly, combine one 30 g scoop with 200–300 ml of water or another preferred liquid in a shaker bottle. Shaking vigorously for a short period is the most effective method to prevent clumping and achieve a consistent texture. Adding the powder to the liquid, rather than the other way around, can also help improve mixability.
GymBeam Beef Protein is a food supplement intended to be used within the maximum daily dose of 60 g as part of a balanced diet. This formula is lactose-free and gluten-free, making it an alternative to dairy-based proteins. The product is not intended for children, and pregnant or breastfeeding women should consult a doctor before use. If you have any health concerns or experience adverse reactions, consult your doctor.
This version of GymBeam Beef Protein comes in a chocolate flavor. The taste is achieved using cocoa powder and flavourings, and it is sweetened with sucralose to keep the sugar content low at 0.4 g per serving.
GymBeam Beef Protein provides naturally occurring branched-chain amino acids (BCAAs) from its HydroBeef™ hydrolysate source. The detailed amino acid profile confirms the presence of all three BCAAs: leucine (4 g per 100 g), isoleucine (1.8 g per 100 g), and valine (2.8 g per 100 g). These amino acids are essential components of muscle tissue. The formula's high protein content, which includes these BCAAs, is designed to support the growth and maintenance of muscle mass for those seeking a lactose-free protein alternative.
