Beef Protein is an enzymatically broken-down hydrolysate of beef protein made from the patented HydroBeef™ ingredient with up to 93 % protein. Each 30g scoop provides up to 28 g protein, no more than 0,5 g fat and no more than 0,5 g carbohydrates. It contains no milk, lactose, soy or gluten. Every batch is also tested by independent accredited laboratories.
Beef Protein contains the patented beef protein hydrolysate HydroBeef™, a popular alternative to dairy proteins. It is the only protein ingredient in the formula, allowing the powder to contain up to 93 % protein.
One 30 g scoop provides your body with up to 28 g protein, which supports muscle growth and maintenance. It contains no more than 0,5 g fat and 0,5 g carbohydrates, so protein accounts for 94 % of its energy value. It contains no lactose or milk protein at all, making it an option for anyone avoiding dairy ingredients.
The ingredient was developed by the Danish company Essentia Protein Solutions, and its trademark is licensed by AMPC. This is not an anonymous beef powder, but an ingredient with its own specification and a traceable manufacturer. It comes from sources in the European Union and carries Halal certification. This confirms that both the ingredient and its production comply with Islamic rules on diet, including the prescribed method of animal slaughter and separation from prohibited ingredients throughout processing. Compliance is monitored by an independent certification body.

A meta-analysis of seven randomised controlled trials compared beef and whey protein in people who also trained while taking them. It found no difference in muscle gain or fat loss between the two sources.1 Compared with a group taking no protein supplement at all, beef protein increased both muscle mass and lower-body strength.1
Whey protein contains more leucine, the amino acid that most strongly stimulates muscle protein synthesis. It therefore works faster in the first few hours after training. After several weeks, however, the difference in results disappears, because what matters is total daily protein intake, not how quickly a single serving acts.1
Beef Protein offers four features worth comparing with whey protein.
- No milk and no lactose. It is not a dairy protein, so it contains not even traces of lactose. Whey concentrate contains 4 to 8 g per 100 g.
- Higher protein content. Up to 93 % compared with 85 to 90 % in isolate and 70 to 80 % in concentrate.
- Less fat and sugar. No more than 1,7 g fat and 0,5 g sugars per 100 g, while concentrate typically contains 5 to 8 g of each.
- Halal certification. Rare among dairy proteins.
Gentle enzymatic breakdown, not acid hydrolysis
Protein can be broken down into shorter peptides in two ways, and the difference between them is crucial.
Acid hydrolysis is cheaper and faster. It uses a strong acid at a high temperature, but some amino acids are destroyed in the process. Tryptophan, for example, is almost completely broken down.
HydroBeef™ undergoes enzymatic hydrolysis. Enzymes break down protein chains in a targeted way at a mild temperature, preserving the amino acids. This can be verified through analysis: tryptophan is present in the amino acid profile, which would not be the case after acid hydrolysis.
This gentle breakdown has practical benefits too. The hydrolysate is soluble in water, so simply shake it in a shaker to create a creamy, lump-free drink. In practice, this means one thing. If you avoid milk, beef protein is a fully fledged alternative, not a compromise.

Every batch is tested by independent laboratories accredited to DIN EN ISO/IEC 17025, the international standard for the competence of testing laboratories. Testing covers heavy metal content (lead, cadmium and mercury) using ICP-MS and microbiological purity. Full reports are openly available in the Laboratory Tests section on the product page.
Free from all major allergens
Beef Protein contains none of the 14 major allergens. As well as being milk-free, it contains no soy or gluten, which is unusual for such a concentrated source of protein.
One scoop provides around 115 kcal, almost all of which come from protein. This makes it a good fit for a weight-loss diet without taking up a large share of your daily calorie intake.

Who is Beef Protein suitable for?
1. You avoid milk proteins.
Whether because of lactose or for another reason. Beef Protein contains no milk or lactose, so you can include it even when whey protein is not an option.
2. You do strength training.
In an eight-week study, beef protein combined with strength training increased fat-free mass and reduced fat mass compared with a group taking no protein supplement.2
3. You eat less, perhaps because of GLP-1 products.
One scoop provides up to 28 g of protein in around 115 kcal, helping you maintain your protein intake even with small portions. This also makes it suitable for a routine that includes GLP-1 products.
4. You want to know what you are buying.
A patented ingredient with a traceable manufacturer, documented EU beef origin, Halal certification and laboratory reports for every batch.
5. You care about your bones, not just your muscles.
Protein contributes to the maintenance of normal bones.

Flavor: vanillaThe vanilla is really delicious—sweet, like sugared milk; there’s nothing wrong with it. It’s particularly nice in a smoothie.Translated by Google

I have been working out at the fitness gym for some time now, and I’ve already tried many different flavors and brands of proteins, including Gymbeam’s, but these proteins are awful. I do not recommend buying them if you have a sensitive sense of smell and a sensitive stomach, because you won’t be able to enjoy them. Right now, I’m sitting here and drinking these proteins in sadness. I am very disappointed with this product.Translated by Google

It dissolves well. Since it is beef, you need to shake it in a shaker, wait until a little foam settles, and then shake again—it's beautifully dissolved. As for the taste, it’s like beef broth with chocolate. I really recommend it.Translated by Google

I added more quantities to the cart on instinct. Then, reading the negative reviews, I kind of wavered and almost gave up. In the end, I ordered just one sample bag, chocolate flavor. I mixed 2 scoops with 300 ml of water and 2 servings of an amino acid complex from another brand, which has a very unpleasant taste. The surprise was that, in the end, the flavor turned out fine. Even better than the chocolate aroma from whey isolates I’ve tried so far (from GymBeam as well as other brands). I mixed it in a sports blender with cold water and left it in the fridge until after my workout, so it would get foamy. In conclusion: good price, very good protein percentage, good taste. I’ll see how it feels over time, and I think I’ll try other flavors as well.Translated by Google

I’m completely new to protein—this is my very first one. Based on the reviews, especially regarding mixing and foaming, I really hesitated here. I made a little summary of the advice from the reviews and decided to give it a try. My experience with mixing: In my opinion, this is a completely functional process in a completely ordinary GymBeam shaker: - put a little hot tap water into the shaker (for one scoop, about 100 ml) - add one scoop of protein - close the shaker and don’t shake it like crazy, but rather mix with circular motions. You can shake it, but don’t overdo it - it foams a bit, and it doesn’t clump - slowly top up with cold water and put it in a bag or the fridge When I tried two scoops at once, it was too much and I ended up with a lump. Procedure: - first mix one scoop as described above - add a little hot water and the second scoop - slowly top up with cold water Probably the most important thing is NOT TO SHAKE—just stir it; it’s not a vodka Martini ;-)Translated by Google

Flavor: chocolateThis product does not dissolve in either water or milk. I tried all the methods, and it stays clumpy. It also sticks to the spoon if you try to mix it, and it does not come loose even under a stream of water—it feels like it contains glue.Translated by Google

The unpleasant taste of vanilla never came close to vanilla, rather like something closer to coffee… the solubility is also bad; I have to put the protein in a blender… I do not recommend the vanilla flavor—try chocolate instead.Translated by Google

I’m buying protein for the first time; before this, I hadn’t tried any. After reading the reviews, it was really scary to buy. I was afraid that I wouldn’t be able to drink it properly because of the taste. But in fact, for me it turned out to be very tasty and super sweet. Maybe it’s just that my perception of sweetness is different from what most of the commentators here have. But the salted caramel is very sweet—almost too much, I’d say. The protein foams a lot, but I didn’t have any problems mixing it. I used a shaker with a strainer. And I tried the protein only with water. Overall, I was satisfied.Translated by Google

As someone with lactose intolerance, I chose this replacement. The taste is nothing special—ABSOLUTELY cannot be mixed; it makes lumps—so it’s just not good at all. I’d rather go back to the classic whey and keep loading up on powders than this. Every time I mix it, I can only drink at most 2 sips. It’s been sitting here for about half a year and is still almost full. This really didn’t turn out well ☹️Translated by Google

FAQ
GymBeam Beef Protein is a powdered supplement featuring the patented hydrolysate HydroBeef™, which delivers up to 93% protein content. It is derived from a bovine source and serves as an excellent alternative to classic milk proteins. This formula is designed to support the growth and maintenance of muscle mass while being low in fat and free from lactose.
While both are derived from bovine sources, GymBeam Beef Protein is distinct from typical collagen supplements. This product is a complete protein source made from HydroBeef™ hydrolysate, providing a full spectrum of amino acids, including 4 grams of Leucine per 100g, to support muscle mass. Collagen generally has a different amino acid profile, higher in glycine and proline, and is often used for different nutritional purposes.
GymBeam Beef Protein is made from HydroBeef™, a hydrolyzed beef protein. The hydrolysis process breaks down protein into smaller peptides, which can result in a characteristic taste and aroma distinct from milk-based proteins. The formula also includes cocoa powder and flavourings to create its final chocolate taste profile.
To ensure GymBeam Beef Protein mixes smoothly, combine one 30 g scoop with 200–300 ml of water or another preferred liquid in a shaker bottle. Shaking vigorously for a short period is the most effective method to prevent clumping and achieve a consistent texture. Adding the powder to the liquid, rather than the other way around, can also help improve mixability.
GymBeam Beef Protein is a food supplement intended to be used within the maximum daily dose of 60 g as part of a balanced diet. This formula is lactose-free and gluten-free, making it an alternative to dairy-based proteins. The product is not intended for children, and pregnant or breastfeeding women should consult a doctor before use. If you have any health concerns or experience adverse reactions, consult your doctor.
This version of GymBeam Beef Protein comes in a chocolate flavor. The taste is achieved using cocoa powder and flavourings, and it is sweetened with sucralose to keep the sugar content low at 0.4 g per serving.
GymBeam Beef Protein provides naturally occurring branched-chain amino acids (BCAAs) from its HydroBeef™ hydrolysate source. The detailed amino acid profile confirms the presence of all three BCAAs: leucine (4 g per 100 g), isoleucine (1.8 g per 100 g), and valine (2.8 g per 100 g). These amino acids are essential components of muscle tissue. The formula's high protein content, which includes these BCAAs, is designed to support the growth and maintenance of muscle mass for those seeking a lactose-free protein alternative.
