Beef Protein – patented HydroBeef™ hydrolysate with up to 93% protein and no allergens

Beef Protein contains the patented hydrolyzed beef protein HydroBeef™, a popular alternative to milk-based proteins. It is the only protein ingredient in the formula, allowing the powder to contain up to 93% protein.

One 30 g scoop provides your body with up to 28 g of protein, which supports the growth and maintenance of muscle mass. It contains no more than 0.5 g of fat and 0.5 g of carbohydrates, so protein accounts for 94% of its energy value. It contains no lactose or milk protein, making it suitable for anyone avoiding dairy ingredients.

The ingredient was developed by the Danish company Essentia Protein Solutions, and its trademark is licensed by AMPC. It is therefore not an anonymous beef powder, but an ingredient with its own specification and an identifiable manufacturer. It comes from sources in the European Union and holds Halal certification. This confirms that the ingredient and its production comply with Islamic dietary rules, including the prescribed method of animal slaughter and separation from prohibited ingredients throughout processing. Compliance is monitored by an independent certification authority.

Does beef protein work the same way as whey protein?

A meta-analysis of seven randomized controlled trials compared beef protein with whey protein in people who were also training. It found no difference between the two sources in muscle gain or fat loss.1 Compared with a group that consumed no protein supplement, beef protein increased muscle mass and lower-body strength.1

Whey contains more leucine, the amino acid that most strongly stimulates muscle protein synthesis. It therefore acts faster in the first few hours after training. After several weeks, however, the difference disappears because total daily protein intake matters more than the speed of absorption of a single serving.1

What are the advantages of beef protein?

Beef Protein offers four things that whey protein cannot.

  • No milk and no lactose. It is not a milk protein, so it contains no lactose, even in trace amounts. Whey protein concentrate contains 4 to 8 g per 100 g.
  • Higher protein content. Up to 93%, compared with 85 to 90% for whey protein isolate and 70 to 80% for concentrate.
  • Less fat and sugar. No more than 1.7 g of fat and 0.5 g of sugar per 100 g, while concentrate typically contains 5 to 8 g of each.
  • Halal certification. Uncommon for milk proteins.

Gentle enzymatic hydrolysis, not acid hydrolysis

Protein can be broken down into shorter peptides in two ways, and the difference between them is significant.

Acid hydrolysis is cheaper and faster. It uses a strong acid at a high temperature, but some amino acids are destroyed in the process. For example, tryptophan is almost completely broken down.

HydroBeef™ undergoes enzymatic hydrolysis. Enzymes break down protein chains in a targeted way at a moderate temperature, preserving the amino acids. This can be verified in the analysis: tryptophan is present in the amino acid profile, which would not be the case after acid hydrolysis.

This gentle process has a practical benefit, too. The hydrolysate is water-soluble, so you can simply shake it in a shaker to make a creamy, lump-free drink. The conclusion is simple: if you avoid milk, beef protein is a full-fledged alternative, not a compromise.

What are the advantages of beef protein?
Purity and quality control for every batch

Every batch is tested by independent laboratories accredited to DIN EN ISO/IEC 17025, the international standard for the competence of testing laboratories. Tests cover heavy metal content (lead, cadmium and mercury) using the ICP-MS method, as well as microbiological purity. Full test reports are available in the Laboratory Tests section directly on the product page.

Free from all major allergens

Beef Protein contains none of the 14 major allergens. It is free from milk, soy and gluten—exceptional for such a concentrated source of protein.

One scoop contains approximately 115 kcal, almost all of which come from protein. This makes it suitable for a weight-loss diet without taking up a large portion of your daily calorie allowance.

Who is Beef Protein suitable for?

1. You avoid milk proteins.
Whether because of lactose or for another reason, Beef Protein contains neither milk nor lactose, so you can include it in your diet even when whey is not an option.

2. You do strength training.
In an eight-week study, beef protein combined with strength training increased lean body mass and reduced fat mass compared with a group that did not receive protein.2

3. You eat less, perhaps because you use GLP-1 products.
One scoop provides up to 28 g of protein in approximately 115 kcal, helping you maintain your protein intake even with smaller portions. It is therefore also suitable for a regimen that includes GLP-1 products.

4. You want to know what you are buying.
A patented ingredient from an identifiable manufacturer, documented EU origin of the beef, Halal certification, and laboratory reports for every batch.

5. You care about your bones, not just your muscles.
Protein contributes to the maintenance of normal bones.

    Flavor: vanilla
The vanilla flavor evokes the eggnog-like “bird’s milk” egginess, which would be negligible if it dissolved properly and did not foam up into a stiff foam.

I have already bought a lot, and recently the quality has deteriorated greatly.... I ordered it in vanilla; it foams, is lumpy, and is almost undrinkable. These are the typical signs of bad protein.... It is a big disappointment for me. Because it used to be better!

Guys! I don’t want to “pull down” Gymbeam, but this really tastes awful. As others said before me, it hits the level of dog food. I won’t be buying anything like this again and I don’t recommend this product to anyone. Overall, Gymbeam is very good, but with this one they really missed the mark.

    Flavor: chocolate
    - With both aroma and flavor, an excellent protein comparable to cocoa, - you can prepare it in no time with a shaker, but also with a hand mixer, - it dissolves practically immediately in water and in milk, - with water it foams less, but the foam should settle within about a minute, - I take it twice a day, in the morning and after my workout, - a great choice for every athlete.

If you take it with water, it doesn’t taste very good. If you try to mix it, you won’t have much success. If you shake it before drinking, you will wake up with foam in your mouth and you will start to feel nauseous. If you put it in oatmeal in the morning with milk, it’s perfect. In other circumstances, I don’t recommend it.

We leave the solubility and texture as they are. That can be remedied. The ingredients are probably good, but I cannot make a statement about that. But if someone really wants to diet, I can recommend it without hesitation. After the shake, you will certainly not look at food for 2–3 hours because you are trying to keep it inside. My guess is that it could be something like instant cat food in a bag. Several people mentioned the coffee aftertaste; I wish it were a coffee aftertaste, but this is like the worst veal shin goulash of your life, with vanilla.

I bought a chocolate milk. The taste is strange at first—you just need to shake it well—but once the foam settles, you can drink it. If it essentially delivers the same as the other, more expensive protein shakes, then taste is the last thing that matters. And the price comes first. :)

I tried the chocolate. Many people struggle with the taste; in my opinion, there’s absolutely nothing wrong with it—it beats the big brands!

    Flavor: vanilla
This doesn’t dissolve at all—it stays on the top like milk foam. If you shake it, it just turns foamy, but that—yes—that is the real, thick foam... The taste is terrible too! If someone still ordered it and wants to use it and not throw it away, I recommend the following: -1 banana - 20–25 g rolled oats - a small spoon of chia - 1 banana or frozen fruit - for those who like peanut butter, add a spoonful. Blend it well with 3 deciliters of milk. This is the only way I can drink this so-called protein stuff after a workout...

Не очаквайте много от вкуса, но по отношение на стойност за парите съотношението качество–цена няма равен! Разтваря се не толкова трудно.
