Soy Isolate - a plant-based protein powder with a favourable amino acid spectrum and a delicious taste that stands out in dishes and drinks

Soy Isolate is a plant-based protein powder with the content of a spectrum of amino acids that most closely resembles that of a whey protein powder. This is what makes it the go-to choice of vegans, but also other people. It boasts a high content of high-quality protein, which will help with muscle growth and maintaining the health of bones. It is sure to be appreciated by athletes who are engaged in strength training and want to achieve the best results regarding muscle growth. In connection with this, we must highlight the fact that of all the essential amino acids included, the most represented one is leucine.

However, this protein powder makes for a great companion even for every enthusiast of a healthy lifestyle. This is because of several reasons. The first is its favourable ingredient profile, as it contains no gluten or lactose, which makes it suitable for people who avoid these substances. It contains no fat, has a low sugar content, and is also GLP-1 friendly. This makes Soy Isolate suitable even for the most demanding athletes, such as fitness athletes or bodybuilders in prep, who keep a close eye on literally every gram of sugar, fat, and protein. Next we have its delicious taste, due to which it once again ranks among the top tier plant-based protein powders.

Last but not least, it is well-soluble, which is yet another benefit when compared to many other plant-based proteins. This makes it an optimal choice for preparing a post-workout drink. That said, you can also add it to smoothies, your favourite porridge, desserts and other dishes, which it will enrich with a fair dose of protein. This will come especially handy if you are trying to maintain a balanced diet and want to enrich each dish with enough of all macronutrients.

No matter if your goal is to gain muscle mass, lose weight or eat healthy and stay in shape, in all these cases, it is important that your diet contains enough protein. Soy Isolate is therefore an effective way to meet the recommended daily protein intake, and as a result, get closer to your goals.

I don’t understand what you keep making a fuss about, taste… when you want taste, then take curd, meat, soy—whatever you like. I take the protein to supplement the protein I don’t get in my diet. I

Don't buy it because both the vanilla and the chocolate flavor are awful! If, for some reason, you still decide to buy it, I advise you to mix it with banana, strawberry, and kiwi—also acceptable.

    Flavor: vanilla
A taste that’s great and not too strong; it doesn’t mix with water or milk.

Honestly, I was expecting much more from this protein. I am lactose intolerant, so I chose a soy protein, but this was a big mistake. The taste is absolutely disgusting to me. I drank 200 ml in 4 portions, and I had to hold my nose just to be able to swallow it at all. The smell alone was already making me feel really sick, and I had the feeling that when drinking it normally, I might just throw up. The protein has such an unpleasant consistency. After each sip, it leaves a very unpleasant aftertaste in my mouth that stays there for a long time even after I finish drinking. Overall, it made me feel awful, and I truly would never buy it again. I would be glad if I split one serving scoop into two doses over the course of the same day so I can use up the protein at all.

My first attempt was with a vegan protein, and I am very disappointed. The value for money is really good, so I was excited that maybe I could save a little with this option as well, and the ratio also didn’t seem bad overall. I’m not usually picky, but the texture, mixability, and taste are simply not drinkable. I tried it in milk, in yogurt, and in almond milk, and I also tried baking with it—no matter what I did, it was disgusting. It is difficult to mix and it becomes very clumpy. Easily, it forms gummy-like clumps in the shake, which makes it inedible. The texture is also very thick, which is extremely unpleasant. The taste is also very bad—almost thick and runny—and truly impossible to mask with anything. What made it even worse is that I didn’t know I was sensitive to soy; whenever I consumed this protein, I would get such severe stomach pain and bloating within minutes that it turned an already bad experience into something unbearable. Unfortunately, as it is, I have to throw the whole thing away.

    Flavor: banana
The banana flavor tastes quite good, but the product itself—unlike whey—is pretty gritty. It feels like it doesn’t fully dissolve in the milk and instead leaves behind an unpleasant powder. Okay as an alternative for those who can’t have whey, but I have to force myself to drink it every day.

PLEASE BE UNFLAVORED. It’s an extremely sweet glaze; it’s inedible and undrinkable—I'm feeling sick from it. It could be improved with Dutch cocoa powder and sour jam/fruit.

10/1. The taste is awful, the smell is overpowering, it dissolves horribly—it forms lumps, yet it foams quite a lot. To make it drinkable, I mix it with about 500 ml of milk, 3–4 teaspoons of cocoa powder, and vanilla flavoring. Overall, even though the price was favorable (5 thousand including shipping), I will never buy something like this again.
