BCAA Syrup - GymBeam

BCAA Syrup is a liquid concentrate of three branched-chain amino acids (BCAAs), namely leucine, isoleucine and valine. One 50 ml capful provides 4,000 mg of BCAAs; simply dilute it with 300 ml of water.

The amino acids are produced by fermentation and are in free form, meaning they are not bound in a protein chain but occur individually.

The ratio is 2:1:1, so each serving contains 2,000 mg of leucine, 1,000 mg of isoleucine and 1,000 mg of valine. The product is free from gluten, lactose and GMOs, and we regularly test it for heavy metals and microbiological purity.

We obtain most amino acids bound in proteins, which are long chains that the body first breaks down into individual amino acids.

The second advantage is precision. You know how much leucine, isoleucine, and valine each serving contains because the amounts are stated explicitly, rather than estimated from the protein’s amino acid profile.

The formula contains twice as much leucine as either of the other two amino acids: 2,000 mg compared with 1,000 mg each of isoleucine and valine. Of all amino acids, leucine is the one most frequently studied in muscle research.¹

Research on leucine focuses on the mTOR signaling pathway, which the literature links to muscle protein synthesis.^1,2 It is the most studied amino acid in this regard, which is why it accounts for twice as much in the 2:1:1 ratio.

All three are essential amino acids, meaning that the body cannot produce them and must obtain them from the diet.
