Clear Protein - Optimum Nutrition

Clear Protein is a clear, refreshing protein drink with a texture and taste reminiscent of fruit lemonade or juice. It is designed for those who do not enjoy traditional milky, creamy shakes and are looking for a lighter alternative.

This protein drink is made with extra-filtered whey protein isolate. The secret to its clear texture lies in this filtration process, which removes virtually everything from the whey except the protein. It contains just 0.2 g of fat and 0.2% lactose.

Each 24 g serving provides 20 g of protein and 82 kcal. Protein supports the growth and maintenance of muscle mass and helps maintain normal bones. The product is also regularly tested for microbiological purity by an independent laboratory accredited to ISO/IEC 17025, and its production meets the BRC Global Standard for Food.

Each 100 g of powder contains 82 g of protein, which is among the highest values for protein products from a nutritional perspective. The remainder consists of 2.2 to 2.5 g of carbohydrates, a barely measurable amount of salt, and flavouring and colouring.

It is also fat-free and low in sugar: specifically, depending on the flavour, it contains 0.3 to 0.6 g of naturally occurring sugars, with no added sugar.

In practical terms, this means that 96% of its energy comes from protein. Of the 342 kcal per 100 g, 328 kcal come from protein. This is especially valuable if you carefully monitor your diet or are currently in a cutting phase.

All three are flavoured with citric and malic acids, which give them their refreshing tartness, and are sweetened with sucralose.

What you will not find in them, however, are azo dyes. These are a group of synthetic colourings that must carry a warning that they may adversely affect children’s attention.
