Purity, Origin and Control

Creapure® is built on three pillars.

Purity.
The guaranteed purity is at least 99.9%. Creatine production generates by-products, specifically dicyandiamide (DCD) and dihydrotriazine (DHT), for which EFSA has set limits of 50 and 3 mg/kg, respectively. Creapure® contains DCD at levels well below the limit, and DHT is not detectable at all.

Origin.
The raw material has been produced exclusively in Germany for over twenty years, in a facility built specifically for its production. It is the only branded creatine manufactured in the Western world.

Quality control.
Every batch of Creapure® is laboratory-tested and certified. This makes it fully traceable from raw material to finished product. The raw material comes from a facility certified to FSSC 22000, the world's most stringent food safety standard, as well as GMP and HACCP and the three ISO 9001, 14001 and 50001 standards.

Creapure® is included on the Kölner Liste®, a list of products regularly tested for banned doping substances by an independent laboratory. It is also certified kosher and halal.

How Creapure® Is Made

Creapure® is produced by chemical synthesis from sarcosinate and cyanamide. This process is considered the safest way to produce pure creatine monohydrate in the world because it does not generate problematic by-products in the quantities left by other methods.

The entire production line is closed, from receipt of the raw materials through to packaging, eliminating the risk of contamination. Every batch undergoes high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) before release, as well as other analytical tests.

No raw materials of animal or plant origin are used in production. The result is exactly the same compound that the body produces in the liver, kidneys, and pancreas, which is why Creapure® is also suitable for vegans.

Each package includes a QS code that you can use to verify its authenticity directly on the manufacturer's website. Our code is 18GM09.

Why We Chose Sweeteners from the Stevia Plant

Flavored creatine products are commonly sweetened with high-intensity sweeteners. Here, we have taken a different approach.

Sweetness comes solely from steviol glycosides, sweeteners obtained from the leaves of the stevia plant. Apart from these, the ingredients include only citric acid as an acidity regulator, flavoring, and coloring.

You will find no other sweeteners or added substances in the product.

What does creatine do in the body?

Creatine is one of the most extensively studied supplements, with over 500 scientific studies devoted to it.1 It is a substance that the body produces in the liver, kidneys, and pancreas and that we also obtain from food, mainly meat and fish. In the muscles, it is stored as phosphocreatine and helps replenish ATP, which provides energy for short, intense exertion.

At a daily intake of 3 g, creatine increases physical performance during successive short bursts of high-intensity exercise. Taking creatine can therefore help you perform more repetitions per set, lift heavier weights, sprint faster or for longer, and improve other explosive movements.

Daily consumption of creatine may also enhance the effect of resistance training on muscle strength in adults over 55 years of age. The beneficial effect is achieved with a daily intake of 3 g of creatine in combination with resistance training.

Not just muscles, but the brain too

Phosphocreatine serves as a readily available energy reserve not only for muscles but also for the brain. This is where research has made progress in recent years.

In recent years, studies on creatine have also examined its relationship with cognitive function in adults2,3 and, for example, mental alertness during sleep deprivation.4

One more thing is worth knowing in advance. When taking creatine, body weight may increase by approximately 1 to 2 kg. This is not fat, but water retained inside muscle cells. That is why muscles look fuller when taking creatine.

Who is creatine suitable for?

1. Strength athletes and bodybuilders
Helps you lift heavier weights and perform more repetitions per set.

2. CrossFit and HYROX athletes
Improved performance in formats built around repeated short intervals at maximum intensity.

3. Sprinters, swimmers and track cyclists
Sports in which short bursts of maximum effort are decisive.

4. Team sports
Football, hockey, basketball and handball—games involving frequent sprints and changes of direction.

5. Combat sports
Boxing, MMA, wrestling and judo, which involve alternating short bursts of intense effort.

6. Vegans and vegetarians
Creatine comes mainly from meat and fish, so a plant-based diet provides very little of it. Creapure® is made without ingredients of animal origin.

7. Women seeking a stronger body and better performance
Creatine is not a hormone, so you need not worry about developing masculine characteristics from taking it. Women naturally have lower creatine stores in their muscles, so supplementation makes just as much sense for them as it does for men.

8. Users of GLP-1 medications (Ozempic, Wegovy, Mounjaro)
Maintaining muscle mass is a key concern during a calorie deficit, and creatine is among the supplements most commonly used at this stage.

9. People over 55
When combined with strength training, daily creatine intake may increase the effect of training on muscle strength. Research in this age group also focuses on memory and cognitive function.2,3
