Goat Colostrum with 20% Immunoglobulins (IgG) - GymBeam | GymBeam.ba Skip to main content

Goat colostrum is the first fluid produced by the body of a mammal immediately after birth, provided here in a precisely defined, standardized form. Each serving (1 g) contains 1,000 mg of goat colostrum with 20% immunoglobulin G (IgG), equivalent to 200 mg of IgG. Thanks to gentle freeze-drying and nanofiltration, the ingredient retains the original structure of its proteins. As it is goat colostrum, not cow colostrum, it also naturally contains A2 beta-casein, which is closer in composition to breast milk. Simply mix one scoop a day into cold or room-temperature water.

Goat colostrum with 20% immunoglobulins (IgG)

Colostrum (first milk) is a fluid produced by the mammary glands of mammals shortly before and immediately after birth, before regular milk production begins. Its composition differs significantly from that of the milk produced later: it is thicker, contains a higher proportion of protein and, above all, immunoglobulins G (IgG), which the mother passes on to her young in the first hours of life.

Our product is goat colostrum standardized to 20% IgG. This means that with every serving (1 g of powder), you know exactly how much immunoglobulin you are taking in (200 mg), rather than relying on an estimate, as is often the case with non-standardized products on the market.

What is this product?

This is a powdered food supplement based on goat colostrum, standardised to a precise immunoglobulin G content. It is among the colostrum supplements that people incorporate into their daily routine, much like other functional protein supplements, by mixing it with water and taking it between main meals.

What is goat colostrum and where does it come from?

The raw material is goat colostrum, collected in the first hours after birth, when the IgG content of the fluid is at its highest. It is processed using gentle freeze-drying (lyophilization) and nanofiltration methods, which take place at low temperatures and preserve the structure of the proteins, unlike high-temperature processing, which damages some of the bioactive proteins.

Why choose goat colostrum instead of cow colostrum?

Bovine colostrum is more widely available and better studied, but goat colostrum has a natural advantage in its composition: it contains A2 beta-casein. This variant of milk protein does not break down into the BCM-7 fragment during digestion, which has been linked to digestive discomfort after consuming regular cow’s milk. Goat’s milk and colostrum are therefore often better tolerated by people who experience a feeling of heaviness in the stomach after consuming cow’s milk.

Form: freeze-dried, defatted and nanofiltered

According to the manufacturer’s technical data sheet, the ingredient is freeze-dried (lyophilized) goat colostrum (Premilk Powder), which has been defatted, pasteurized and nanofiltered. This combination of steps reduces the fat content and some of the lactose while using low temperatures that help preserve the structure of proteins, including immunoglobulins. The powder dissolves well and is easy to measure – 1 scoop (1 g) per serving.

GymBeam Goat Colostrum. Natural colostrum containing A2 beta-casein for gentler digestion and 200 mg of immunoglobulin G per serving.
What does goat colostrum contain?

Below, we describe three components discussed in the scientific literature. Studies on colostrum have used bovine, not goat, colostrum. The mechanism (the presence of immunoglobulin G) is similar in both species, but direct clinical data on immunoglobulins and growth factors in goat colostrum are not yet available.

A2 beta-casein

As mentioned above, goat colostrum naturally contains A2 beta-casein rather than the A1/A2 mixture found in conventional cow’s milk and colostrum. A study of the structural and digestive properties of beta-casein from cow’s, goat’s and donkey’s milk confirmed that the A2 variant is digested differently¹, and a review article on A2 milk as a possible aid for people with milk protein intolerance summarizes why this form may be more suitable for some people.²

Immunoglobulins G

Colostrum is naturally rich in immunoglobulin G (IgG), which provides passive protection during the first hours of life in newborn animals until they begin producing their own antibodies.

Scientific teams have long studied the potential of bovine colostrum in relation to immune defenses. A randomized study of medical students examined the effects of taking low doses of colostrum (0.5–1 g daily) for 45 days on upper respiratory tract parameters, compared with a control group.³

The relationship between colostrum supplementation and the frequency of seasonal symptoms has also been analyzed in meta-analyses involving athletes and studies of preschool children.⁵⁻⁷

Growth factors and bioactive proteins

In addition to immunoglobulins, colostrum also contains growth factors and other bioactive proteins that are being studied for their role in intestinal barrier function. Studies involving athletes under physical strain have examined the effects of bovine colostrum supplementation on selected gastrointestinal markers and the physiological permeability of the intestinal lining.⁴

GymBeam Goat Colostrum. Gently freeze-dried and nanofiltered goat colostrum that preserves the original structure of its bioactive proteins.
What makes it unique
  • Precise standardization to 20% IgG. Most colostrum products on the market state only the total colostrum content, not the actual, verified proportion of immunoglobulins.
  • Goat-derived, not cow-derived. Thanks to its natural A2 beta-casein, its composition is closer to breast milk and it is generally easier to digest than cow-derived alternatives containing A1 beta-casein.¹,²
  • Gentle processing. Freeze-drying and nanofiltration instead of high-temperature drying preserve the delicate structure of the proteins.
  • Gluten-free and GMO-free.
  • Manufactured in the EU, in a facility with a certified quality management system.
Who is goat colostrum suitable for?

1. People sensitive to cow’s milk.
Thanks to its natural A2 beta-casein content, goat colostrum may be a more suitable choice for those who experience digestive discomfort after consuming regular cow’s milk.¹,² It is not a hypoallergenic product and still contains milk proteins.

2. Biohackers and those interested in longevity.
Colostrum is among the ingredients studied in the biohacking community for its bioactive protein profile.
