It also forms a natural hydrophobic layer on the surface of gastric mucus. This layer protects the stomach lining from irritation caused by its own hydrochloric acid (HCl), as well as from the effects of alcohol or painkillers.
In the intestine, it acts as a natural emulsifier. It breaks down dietary fats into tiny micelles, significantly increasing the surface area available to the digestive enzyme pancreatic lipase. The result is better digestion of heavier meals and less fullness or bloating afterward.
A major advantage is its convenient liquid form. Simply mix it into your favourite smoothie, protein drink or yoghurt, or take it on its own with a meal. The product is free from gluten, lactose and GMOs.
